Our 13th Annual Cambie Village Summer Sizzler is a family-friendly day launching at 10:30am with a FREE movie at The Park Theatre and then flowing into a festive extravaganza with music, magic, dance, games, 2 stages, and more — in the Heart of Vancouver, spanning along Cambie Street from W.5th to W.25th. It all ends at 7pm with a Grand Prize contest draw at the Main stage on W.17th. Join us!

This is the perfect opportunity to introduce a new generation to this 1988 classic adventure. An orphaned brontosaurus named Littlefoot sets off in search of the legendary Great Valley, a land of lush vegetation where the dinosaurs can thrive and live in peace. Along the way he meets four other young dinosaurs, each one a different species, and they encounter several obstacles as they learn to work together in order to survive.
*Arrive early as seating is limited to 350 patrons.

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian Martial Art that was created over 400 years ago by the African and Indigenous slaves in Brazil, as a form of self-defence from their oppressors. Capoeira is a combination of self-defence, acrobatics, dance and music. Grupo Axè Capoeira began in Recife, Brazil in 1982, by Mestre Barrão. Grupo Axé Capoeira has performed worldwide, making its Canadian debut at the in 1990.
Featuring traditional capoeira music as well as upbeat Brazilian vocals and instrumentals, performances showcase professional capoeirist dancers at the height of their skill. As Canada’s first academy of Capoeira, Grupo Axè Capoeira is one of the world’s leading Capoeira organizations.

Children's Entertainment for the Kid in Everyone
The Gumboot Kids Live Show features award-winning artist, Jessie Farrell, performing songs from the hit CBC Kids’ series, The Gumboot Kids. The live show has been winning hearts across Canada with its family-friendly tunes and lovable characters. The fun, playful show draws on the themes from nature to create an exhilarating event for kids, parents and grandparents. Guests include Daisy and Scout. www.gumbootkids.com

Chinese Fan and Ribbon Dancing
The ribbon dance is based on a colorful, theatrical style of Chinese dance. The flying ribbons are symbols of joy and happiness. The Chinese fan dance is known for its beautiful and delicate poses and is an excellent representation of Chinese traditional culture. It represents beauty, grace and delicacy, and feelings of joy.
Jessica Yue joined the City Contemporary Dance Company as a full-time dancer after graduating University. In 1994, she pursued further studies in China. She choreographed for the China Traditional Chinese Dancing, including Martyr For Soul and Kami Ni To U, receiving critical acclaim.
